About The Position

Mountain West Farm Bureau is seeking a full-time In-House Claims Representative to join their team. This role involves comprehensive training and mentorship to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to handle insurance claims, including investigating, analyzing, and settling claims by determining the extent of liability for personal, casualty, or property loss/damages. The In-House Claims Representative serves as an internal liaison between policyholders, internal departments, and external stakeholders to process and resolve claims accurately. This full-time position is located at their home office in Laramie, WY and typically works 40 hours per week.

  • Ability to follow established procedures to guide oneself with little or no supervision to complete tasks
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, develop alternative solutions and use reason even when dealing with emotional topics
  • High school degree or GED
  • Prior experience in insurance, customer service, or a related field
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Ability to obtain a state adjuster’s license
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to claim sites as required
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Pass a drug and alcohol screening
  • Undergo a background check
  • Have a clear Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
