About The Position

A Centerstone Intensive In-Home Therapist provides individual and family counseling for youth in crisis (ages 3 to 18), with the goal of stabilizing symptoms and preventing placement of youth into more restrictive setting such as hospital or residential treatment. Treatment takes place in the home and community. Candidates need a solid knowledge of therapeutic techniques such as family therapy, CBT, TF-CBT, play therapy, or other modalities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Mental Health (MH) Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a specialization in MH Counseling
  • If Master's degree is in a related field, completion of at least 24 graduate-level semester hours in psychology, social work, counseling, or other behavioral health-related coursework.
  • Relevant coursework and work experience in Clinical treatment and treatment planning, Appraisal and assessment of mental disorders, Psychopathology, Use of the DSM for diagnostic purposes within a clinical internship or practicum in a behavioral health setting
  • Two years of post-degree experience required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and meet eligibility requirements to be covered under the organization's vehicle insurance policy.

Responsibilities

  • Carry caseload of approximately six families
  • Provide individual and family therapy at least three times per week
  • Participate in supervision meetings
  • Web-based documentation, which can be completed from any location
