About The Position

Happier At Home – Northeast Iowa is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. The role focuses on providing practical assistance and meaningful social connection while supporting clients’ quality of life. Caregivers work independently and communicate with the care team about clients’ conditions and care.

Requirements

• Be compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to work independently.
• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have at least 1 year of caregiving experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
• Accompany clients to appointments and errands.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the care team.
