About The Position

Happier At Home – Northeast Iowa is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to help seniors remain safe and comfortable at home while maintaining independence and quality of life. The role involves providing companionship and personal care, assisting with daily activities, supporting mobility and safety, and communicating with the care team. The position offers starting pay of $16–$18 per hour, mileage reimbursement, flexible scheduling, and a supportive team environment.

Requirements

Be compassionate, patient, and dependable.
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Be able to work independently.
Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Have at least 1 year of caregiving experience.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
Provide medication reminders.
Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
Accompany clients to appointments and errands.
Observe and report changes in client condition.
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the care team.
