About The Position

Imagine Pediatrics is a technology-enabled, pediatrician-led medical group providing 24/7 virtual-first and in-home medical, behavioral, and social care for children with special health care needs. The In-Home Registered Nurse serves as a clinical bridge between home-based care and virtual acute care, delivering family-centered care in homes and community settings while also supporting urgent pediatric needs virtually.

The primary location is remote, with travel to patient homes in the Memphis, Tennessee area within a 100–150-mile radius. The role involves up to 75% travel. The expected schedule is Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time, with flexibility based on member needs, visit locations, and virtual acute care support. Active Tennessee RN licensure is required.

The nurse works within an integrated care team and uses the Imagine Pediatrics platform, Athena EMR, the company’s proprietary application, virtual platforms, and digital tools to coordinate and document care.

Requirements

• Active Tennessee RN license; compact license preferred.
• Current residence in or around the Memphis area.
• PALS and BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
• At least 3 years of pediatric nursing experience, ideally including high-acuity settings such as an ED, urgent care, or transport.
• 1–2 years of pediatric emergency medicine experience.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a good driving record.
• Comfort driving long distances in varied weather conditions.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills, and ability to work independently in the home environment.
• Comfort with EMRs, virtual platforms, and mobile documentation tools.

Nice To Haves

• Compact nursing license.
• EMS (EMT/P) experience.
• 2+ years of pediatric home care experience.
• Bilingual Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Travel to members’ homes and community settings to deliver episodic, longitudinal, and urgent pediatric care.
• Build trusted, compassionate relationships with children and families and provide coordinated, culturally responsive care.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, navigators, social workers, and therapists.
• Conduct and document in-home assessments.
• Perform procedures including ear irrigation, point-of-care testing, IV placement and lab draws, wound care, and medication administration.
• Provide patient and family education, follow-up care, and care coordination using the Imagine Pediatrics platform.
• Flex into the virtual acute care RN role to conduct virtual assessments and manage urgent pediatric needs using established protocols.
• Document care in the Athena EMR and communicate with families through Imagine Pediatrics’ proprietary application.
• Use virtual platforms and digital tools to support care delivery.
