About The Position

Senior Helpers is hiring licensed nursing assistants to provide one-on-one, non-medical care to seniors in their homes throughout Rhode Island. The work focuses on dignity, safety, and relationship-based support, including care for clients recovering at home after hospitalization. Positions offer 10–40 hours per week, with immediate client assignments and morning, afternoon, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. Flexible and open availability is preferred; caregivers with open availability may receive priority scheduling and more consistent hours. Placements are available in communities across Rhode Island, including Providence, Kent, Washington, Bristol, and Newport counties.

Requirements

Active Rhode Island nursing assistant license or temporary approval.
Ability to pass a national background check.
Reliable, professional, and compassionate.
Reliable transportation is preferred.
Open availability is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
Provide mobility support and assist with safe transfers.
Offer companionship and emotional support.
Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
Monitor clients’ overall wellness and report changes.
Support clients recovering at home after hospitalization.
