About The Position

AmeriCare Plus, LLC is seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver (CNA, NA, or PCA) to provide in-home personal care to a veteran in Faber, VA. The client is a male veteran who is bedbound and requires personal care. This is a part-time position, requiring 6 hours per week, scheduled as 4½-hour shifts on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a preference for morning hours. The home is a smoke-free and pet-free environment. This role offers meaningful one-on-one work and is ideal for someone who values stability and has a heart for serving those who have served our country. Additional hours may be available for caregivers willing to travel.

Requirements

• CNA, NA, or PCA certification (online training provided for those interested in PCA certification)
• Reliable transportation and valid Virginia driver's license
• Social Security card & 2 professional references
• Must pass background check per State and Federal requirements
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable
• Respectful and professional demeanor

Nice To Haves

• Experience with or appreciation for veterans

Responsibilities

• Assist client with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing
• Support mobility and transfers (e.g., bed to wheelchair)
• Prepare light meals
• Provide medication reminders
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior
