About The Position

Happy to Help Caregiving is hiring a dependable on-call caregiver to support clients in Monongalia County, Preston County, and Marion County communities. This is an on-site role in clients’ homes. The caregiver must remain ready during scheduled standby hours and respond quickly when a client shift opens. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, with core availability from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. On-call pay is $100 per day, and hours worked providing client care are paid at the standard hourly rate of $15–$17. Pay is issued weekly on Fridays. Travel is required, and mileage reimbursement is available according to company policy.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass required background and eligibility checks.
Dependable and professional, and comfortable accepting assignments on short notice.
Strong communication and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

CNA certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate companionship, personal care, respite care, and other non-medical in-home support based on each client’s care plan.
Step into open shifts on short notice and help maintain continuity of care.
Respond to dispatch notifications within five minutes and leave for an assignment within 15 minutes.
Be ready to arrive at the first assigned client home at 8:00 AM when needed.
Communicate promptly and professionally with the office and care team.
Document care accurately and follow safety, privacy, and client-specific requirements.
Keep a phone charged and audible, a reliable and fueled vehicle, and caregiving supplies ready.
