In-Home Caregiver – Pontiac , MI
About The Position
CareOne Senior Care is hiring dependable, compassionate caregivers to support seniors and adults in their own homes in Pontiac, Michigan. Caregiving experience is welcome but is not required for eligible entry-level assignments. Training and guidance are provided to prepare caregivers for assignments. Duties vary according to each client’s needs and may include personal care, meal preparation, companionship, maintaining a safe and comfortable home, and support with everyday activities that promotes independence. Scheduling options include morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts; weekday and weekend work; part-time and full-time positions; extended shifts; select live-in assignments; ongoing client placements; and temporary coverage. Available hours vary by client, and specific schedules are discussed during hiring. Regular caregiver pay is $15–$17 per hour, with select specialty assignments paying up to $22.50 per hour. Pay depends on the assignment, client needs, and applicable requirements; benefit eligibility may vary.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be dependable, patient, respectful, and compassionate.
- Be comfortable working independently in clients’ homes.
- Communicate professionally with clients, families, and office staff.
- Complete required background screening and TB testing.
- Provide reliable transportation when needed.
- For assignments involving client transportation, have a valid driver’s license, current vehicle registration, and auto insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Caregiving experience, including experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, home health aide, CNA, or direct care worker, is welcome but not required for eligible entry-level assignments.
Responsibilities
