About The Position
Griswold Home Care for Medina, Wayne & Western Stark Counties is seeking empathetic and dedicated In-Home Caregivers to join our team! As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in helping our clients maintain their independence and quality of life. About the Caregiver Role: As an In-Home Caregiver, you will provide personalized care to individuals in their homes. By building relationships with clients and their families, you will play a vital role in ensuring their well-being and comfort. Clients typically receive 4 hours of care and longer shifts may be available. We currently have daytime shifts available.
Requirements
- Preferred 1+ yrs of care-giving and mechanical lift experience but we are willing to train you.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living; such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs
- Remind clients about self-administered medications
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations
- Assist with light housekeeping and household tasks
- Accompany clients to appointments and errands
