About The Position
Trellis Services is hiring one-on-one instructors to work with children and adolescents (ages 10 to 21) with autism in their homes and in the community. This part-time position (4 to 40 hours per week-afternoons, evenings and weekends) is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference in the life of a child! Flexible hours, great pay ($19/hr), Maryland paid sick time and participation in our 401K plan! Requirements
- Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years old
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- The ability to pass a State/Federal background check.
- Reliable transportation/Valid Driver's License/Current Auto Insurance
- Minimum of 100 hours of working/volunteer or personal experience with individuals with developmental delays
- Physical requirements vary and are based on specific client assignments. You may be asked to engage in any of the following: push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds, and move quickly, according to client needs. It is necessary to be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support with community independence, daily living and recreation/leisure
- Flexible schedules; afternoon, evening and weekend shifts
- Opportunities available throughout Maryland including Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Harford, Howard and Talbot counties
- Ability to advance into other roles at Trellis
