About The Position
AIT Home Delivery is seeking independent contractors to provide in-home assembly of furniture and equipment. Contractors travel to customers’ homes to assemble ready-to-assemble furniture, flat-box home goods, and fitness equipment according to manufacturer specifications. Products may vary seasonally, and contractors can choose which product types they prefer to install or assemble throughout the year. Contractors able to service both indoor and outdoor products may receive more work. Potential weekly settlements are stated as $40,000–$100,000+ annually, depending on volume, location, and accepted contract work; settlements are processed weekly.
Requirements
- Have reliable transportation to travel to and from order locations.
- Own hand and power tools and have the experience and mechanical aptitude needed to assemble products to manufacturer specifications.
- Have an EIN (federal tax ID).
- Comply with insurance requirements and vehicle registration requirements.
- Comply with state laws applicable to the vehicle used to perform the work.
- Complete background and drug screens; these apply to contractors and helpers.
- Driving contractors must complete an MVR screening.
- Be comfortable using mobile technology and have excellent communication skills.
