About The Position
AIT Home Delivery provides final delivery, assembly, and repair services for consumer goods. Contractors provide in-home assembly of ready-to-assemble furniture, equipment, and fitness equipment, arriving at customers’ homes to assemble products according to manufacturer specifications. Products may vary seasonally. Contractors may choose which product types they prefer to install or assemble throughout the year; contractors servicing both indoor and outdoor products may receive more work. The role is a 1099 contract position, with potential settlements of $40,000–$100,000+ depending on volume, location, and accepted contract work. Settlements are processed weekly.
Requirements
- Have reliable transportation to travel to and from order locations.
- Own hand and power tools and have the experience and mechanical aptitude to assemble products to manufacturer specifications.
- Have an EIN (federal tax ID).
- Comply with insurance and vehicle registration requirements.
- Comply with state laws applicable to the vehicle used to complete the work.
- Have DOT/MC numbers if required for a vehicle with a GVWR over 10,000 lbs.
- Pass background and drug screens; these apply to contractors and helpers.
- Driving contractors must undergo an MVR check.
- Be committed to exceptional customer service, be tech savvy with a mobile phone, and have excellent communication skills.
