About The Position

In-Charge Audit professionals are responsible for performing and leading audit engagements while supporting client relationships and helping guide junior team members through the audit process. This includes analyzing client financial records to identify potential accounting issues and performing research to present proposed solutions, planning and performing audit procedures in accordance with applicable accounting and auditing standards, taking ownership of assigned audit engagements, including coordinating workflow and helping ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule, supervising, training, and mentoring staff accountants and audit associates throughout audit engagements, reviewing work prepared by staff and providing constructive feedback and guidance, building new and strengthening existing client relationships while developing a strong understanding of clients' businesses, communicating with clients throughout engagements to request information, discuss findings, and help address accounting or financial reporting questions, and collaborating with Audit Managers and Partners to successfully complete client engagements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of audit experience at a public accounting firm.
  • Previous experience supervising, reviewing, or providing guidance to staff during audit engangements.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • CPA certification highly desired or ability to attain.
