About The Position

Central Ontario FS is seeking an In-Branch Grain Originator who is passionate about grain marketing, building customer relationships, and understanding market trends. This role involves originating grain, developing long-term relationships with producers, and providing profitable grain marketing strategies and value-added marketing solutions. The ideal candidate will proactively work with producers and contribute to the branch's success.

Requirements

College diploma or university degree in agriculture, business, or a related field—or equivalent experience
Knowledge of grain markets (corn, soybeans, wheat) and grain marketing strategies
Strong customer focus with proven ability to build trust and long-term relationships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while being a strong team player
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Valid G driver’s license

Responsibilities

Originating grain from existing and prospective customers through strong relationship management
Providing timely market information, cash grain bids, and marketing plans to branch customers
Purchasing grain deliveries and completing contracts, settlements, and related documentation
Working closely with the branch team, carriers, and facility personnel to coordinate deliveries
Supporting branch marketing, customer experience, and advisory sales efforts
Supporting the Agronomy Sales Team with counter and phone sales, order entry, field plans, delivery/blend tickets, soil sampling coordination, and grower support within Agvance.
