About The Position

This is a paid summer internship running from late May to early August with Oceaneering’s offshore projects group. The intern will assist with the design and development of Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (IMR) technologies, including unmanned surface vessels, small vehicles, non-destructive testing, system autonomy, system design, and robotic integration. Work scopes will be matched to the intern’s educational background and experience and may range from mechanical design of robotic systems to development of data models and integrated system optimization. The role provides practical application of classroom knowledge. The intern will work closely with a mentor to support developmental goals and performance expectations. The position offers an opportunity to gain real-world experience in industries including oil and gas, aerospace, and entertainment. The role has a hybrid work environment, with work performed virtually and in the office when required. It is considered office work and is almost exclusively indoors during the day, with occasional exposure to airborne dust. The work surface is stable and flat.
