Part of a shared service center that operates for multi branches, the Customs Entry Specialist processes the Customs Entry in a timely manner and with accuracy. Requirements
- 2-5 years of processing customs entries
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
- Fluent in English, both written and oral
Nice To Haves
- CHB License is a plus
- Extensive excel experience with Adobe PDF knowledge is a plus
- Ability to learn all aspects of the team’s work, and to provide cover and assistance on a regular basis.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Self-starter, sense of urgency, communication.
- Customer focused.
Responsibilities
- Receives import files to clear through Customs
- Ensure import clearance files are compliant with US Customs regulations
- Resolve and Communicate clearance issues with internal team members and with customers
- Prioritize shipments based on ETA or other factors
- Process customs bonds as needed
- Process steel licenses as needed
- Communicate entry release
- Ensure each file is invoiced correctly
- Help identify areas that need improvement
- Assist with new customer implementation
- Stays up to date with current regulations with US Customs
