About The Position

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Implementation Specialist position. Under the auspices of the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), the Center for Practice Innovations (CPI) promotes the widespread use of evidence-based practices within behavioral health provider agencies throughout New York State. Considered an "Intermediary Organization" for implementation, CPI uses innovative approaches to build stakeholder collaborations, develop and maintain practitioners' expertise, and build agency infrastructures that support implementing and sustaining evidence-based practices. The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time implementation specialist at CPI with interest in implementation of evidence-based care for obsessive-compulsive disorder across a variety of New York State Office of Mental Health care settings. The candidate will assist in the development and support of a statewide program to improve quality of care for OCD supported by the New York State Office of Mental Health (NYS-OMH), named IMPACT-OCD Improving Providers' Assessment, Care Delivery and Treatment of OCD. Informed by principles of implementation science, IMPACT-OCD uses scalable implementation strategies such as e-Learning courses with continuing education, virtual consultation and learning communities, audit and feedback, and incentives in the statewide workforce development program. Our implementation strategies are co-designed with individuals with personal and family lived experience, front-line clinicians, clinic leadership, and state mental health authorities. In addition to rigorous evaluation of IMPACT-OCD activities, leadership of the program also conducts federally-funded research exploring recovery-oriented approaches to improve the quality of life for individuals with OCD and digital health interventions to increase access to care.
