We are seeking a highly experienced Implementation Project Manager with strong technical expertise in healthcare claims and EDI transactions to lead complex client implementations. This role requires deep knowledge of healthcare payer operations, transactional workflows, and claims data formats — particularly 837 EDI transactions and paper-to-EDI transformations. The Project Manager will oversee planning, execution, and successful delivery of implementation projects for new and returning healthcare insurance customers. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for concurrent projects within a cross-functional customer delivery model and will report directly to the Chief Product Officer for Digital Mailroom Services. This is a highly visible, client-facing role requiring both strong project leadership and technical fluency in healthcare claims transactions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of project management experience in the healthcare insurance industry
  • Direct experience with healthcare claims and EDI transactions (837 formats required)
  • Experience with paper-to-EDI processes and transactional healthcare workflows
  • Strong understanding of healthcare payers, TPAs, and claims operations
  • Experience supporting implementations, integrations, and UAT
  • Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional projects
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter with demonstrated accountability and performance consistency

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end implementation projects for healthcare payer and claims operations clients
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and deliverables
  • Ensure requirements are clearly documented and aligned with transactional workflows
  • Drive milestone achievement and ensure high-quality delivery
  • Conduct proactive risk management and implement mitigation strategies
  • Manage implementations involving healthcare claims processing and EDI transactions (837 formats)
  • Oversee paper-to-EDI transformation workflows
  • Support integrations, data mapping, and transaction validation processes
  • Partner with technical and operations teams on transactional-side healthcare implementations (non-clinical focus)
  • Provide leadership during UAT, system integrations, and go-live readiness
  • Serve as primary point of contact for customer stakeholders
  • Lead client and internal status meetings
  • Create and distribute status reports and executive updates
  • Apply healthcare payer domain knowledge to address client requirements
  • Build strong partnerships with customer counterparts and internal teams
