An Implementation Project Manager leads the end-to-end planning, configuration, and deployment of software, systems, or services for clients, serving as the primary point of contact from onboarding to go-live. They ensure technical solutions are implemented on time, within budget, and successfully adopted, managing project timelines, risks, and client training.

Requirements

  • University degree or college diploma in a technical field.
  • 5+ years of direct work experience in project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project.
  • Background in software development preferred.
  • Windows based database and operating systems experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • React to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Ability to defuse tension among project teams, should it arise.
  • Ability to bring a project to successful completion through political sensitivity.
  • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service skills an asset.
  • Prefer candidates who can type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.
  • Although very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred.

  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and close projects according to schedule deadlines, including acquisition of resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants (including offshore resources).
  • Partner with stakeholders and senior management to define the project’s scope, objectives, deliverables and critical success factors that support business goals.
  • Communicate the project’s scope, goals, objectives, deliverables and critical success factors to the project team.
  • Ensure that business, functional and technical requirements are clearly defined, documented and agreed to by all project stakeholders.
  • Oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle.
  • Develop complete project plans and associated communication documents, identifying any milestones within the project roadmap.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Follow-up with assigned resources to establish progress and adherence to timelines and scope.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • In coordination with the Development Lead, establish Level of Effort (LOE) estimates for achieving project goals, and recommend subsequent timeline changes when necessary.
  • Manage development/implementation schedules and direct assigned resources.
  • When required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required inter-departmental resources.
  • Determine and assess the need for additional staff and/or consultants and recommend appropriate recruitment throughout the project cycle.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team and escalate when necessary.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Determine the appropriate frequency, content and delivery mechanism for status reports, analyze the results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Develop and deliver status reports and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Build, develop, and grow any internal business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Any other tasks or projects assigned by immediate supervisor.
  • Operate in Compliance with HIPAA within program guidelines.
  • On time adherence to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures governing access to confidential data.
  • Ensure all SOPs and BRDs are followed with consistency.
  • Conduct misclleaneous tasks or projectst that are assigned.
