About The Position

Soutron Global builds and supports information management software for organizations whose value sits in their collections — corporate and law libraries, government agencies, national and corporate archives, museums, and public library consortia. The suite spans library services platforms, archival collection management, resource sharing, and discovery, deployed across North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Customer Delivery is moving from a "do everything for the customer" model to defined roles with clear ownership. This seat is the delivery half of that change: a hands-on implementation professional who takes a signed project from kickoff to signed customer acceptance, and who can be trusted with the two hardest categories of work in our book: migrations and upgrades. Migrations involve dealing with legacy installations that are heavily customized, with bespoke data constructs and workflows built up over years, requiring a data-first approach to ensure feature parity. Upgrades are per-customer projects run against live production catalogs that cannot be taken offline, requiring coordinated delivery. This role involves carrying a live project book from week one, taking on the hardest projects, and working with existing reporting, utilization view, and project governance tools.

Requirements

  • Five or more years implementing enterprise or specialist software for external customers, personally owning delivery from kickoff to acceptance.
  • Demonstrable hands-on data migration work: profiling messy source data, authoring mapping specifications, transforming and loading, and reconciling the result.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python, PowerShell, Perl, or equivalent).
  • Experience configuring a metadata-driven or catalog-driven application (data models, controlled vocabularies, templates, workflows, permissions, and reporting).
  • A track record of carrying eight or more concurrent customer projects without losing status accuracy.
  • Experience with single-tenant, on-premise, or dedicated-instance deployments where an upgrade is a per-customer project.
  • Credibility under go-live pressure: ability to hold a date when it should be held, and reset one early, specifically, and in writing when it should not.
  • Habitual time-logging and forecast discipline.
  • Clear written English for mapping specifications, status notes, and risk escalations.
  • Authorized to work in the United States or Canada without sponsorship.
  • Ability to overlap with United Kingdom business hours for part of the working day.
  • A valid passport and willingness to travel internationally, including to the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Nice To Haves

  • Delivery experience in the GLAM sector (galleries, libraries, archives, and museums), special libraries, legal information services, or records management.
  • Working knowledge of cataloging and archival description standards: MARC 21, Dublin Core, EAD, ISAD(G), RDA, OAI-PMH, or Z39.50.
  • Prior work on an integrated library system, library services platform, archival collection management system, digital asset management system, or resource-sharing platform.
  • Public-sector or government contract delivery, including work under formal acceptance and security requirements.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence as day-to-day delivery tooling.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end project delivery, including kickoff, discovery, scoping, configuration, data migration, integration setup, user acceptance testing, go-live, and signed customer acceptance for implementation and services projects.
  • Data migration and reconciliation, including extraction, profiling, transformation, mapping, loading, and reconciliation of customer catalog and archival data.
  • Legacy-to-current platform conversions, including scoping conversions off highly customized legacy installations, producing feature-parity gap assessments, and delivering conversions with product and engineering.
  • Upgrade delivery for the installed base, including owning and improving the upgrade runbook, executing upgrade waves, sequencing customers, agreeing windows, managing rollback, and landing upgrades without production disruption or regression.
  • Configuration of metadata models, cataloging templates, workflows, permissions, and reporting to the agreed specification.
  • Delivery pace as a revenue control, ensuring project completion within the committed quarter or escalating early.
  • Operating discipline, including weekly time logging, maintaining current project status, and raising risks in writing.
  • Customer onsite delivery for discovery, data workshops, go-live support, and recovery visits in North America, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.

  • Base salary range published by country.
