About The Position

BigTime is seeking an Implementation Consultant, Enterprise PSA to lead clients through a successful BigTime Enterprise PSA (EPSA) implementation. This role manages the implementation project, guides clients through configuration and best practices, and ensures their teams are ready to run EPSA in day-to-day operations. EPSA clients are larger professional services firms, and their finance teams depend on the platform for project accounting and reporting as much as their delivery teams depend on it for projects and resourcing. Success requires strong project management, consultative problem-solving, and comfort with professional services finance to work directly with a client’s finance team. Beyond implementation, the Implementation Consultant delivers additional Professional Services engagements as client needs evolve, including configuration assessments, training, reporting work, and integration support.

Requirements

  • Experience owning data migration on enterprise implementations.
  • Working knowledge of how professional services firms make money: utilization, bill rates and cost rates, margin, backlog, and forecasting.
  • Prior experience working at a PSA, ERP, or professional services software company, or within a project management or finance function at a consulting, IT services, or engineering firm.
  • Experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to improve productivity, automate routine or repetitive work, and create more capacity to focus on higher-value, strategic activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent client engagements against defined timelines and milestones.
  • Comfort building and maintaining project plans, status reporting, and risk logs without heavy oversight.
  • Ability to translate a client’s legacy workflow into a configuration that reflects best practice, not a like-for-like copy.
  • Strong data skills in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and preparing and reconciling large data sets.
  • Comfort with data imports, field mapping, and troubleshooting failed loads.
  • Ability to read integration requirements well enough to know when to escalate rather than commit.
  • Report building against a PSA or business intelligence data model.
  • Confident, consultative communication; able to lead a room of client stakeholders, including project leadership, finance, and the executive sponsor, through a working session or a difficult conversation.
  • Strong written communication for recaps, design documents, and internal Salesforce documentation.
  • Judgment to identify at-risk clients early and escalate before a relationship is in jeopardy.
  • Willingness to say no to a configuration that will not hold up, and to explain why in terms the client cares about.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa or STEM OPT at this time.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on Projector PSA experience. BigTime Enterprise PSA is built on the Projector PSA platform. Candidates with hands-on experience implementing, administering, or consulting on Projector PSA will be strongly preferred.
  • Relevant experience may include contract and project configuration, revenue recognition, utilization and financial reporting, data migration, and accounting integrations.
  • Experience with accounting system integrations such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Great Plains, and familiarity with the monthly close process.
  • Experience with Salesforce, including how opportunities become projects and how CRM data flows into a delivery system.
  • Experience supporting clients that operate across multiple legal entities, currencies, or countries.
  • Experience delivering both implementation and post-implementation engagements, including assessment, training, or custom work.
  • Three or more years implementing, administering, or consulting on a PSA, ERP, or project accounting platform.
  • Working knowledge of how professional services firms make money: utilization, bill rates and cost rates, margin, backlog, and forecasting.
  • Comfort discussing billing and revenue with a client’s finance team without needing a finance resource in the room.
  • Power BI experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the client relationship through implementation, partnering with the Account Executive and Relationship Manager on commercial and adoption questions.
  • Identify the client’s core business drivers early, including margin visibility, accurate billing and revenue, utilization reporting, and reporting across entities, and use them as the throughline for kickoff, working sessions, recaps, and closeout.
  • Build and maintain the implementation plan and timeline, and share an updated version with the client before every session.
  • Identify at-risk implementations early, create an at-risk record, and build a recovery plan with the Manager, Enterprise Implementation Services.
  • Close out each implementation once the client is stable and confident, and capture client sentiment through a satisfaction survey.
  • Translate the client’s contracts, billing practices, and delivery model into an EPSA configuration that reports correctly and holds up as the business grows.
  • Configure contract and billing structures, including time and materials, fixed fee, and not-to-exceed arrangements, along with the revenue recognition treatment for each.
  • Set up the client’s organizational structure, including legal entities, business units, and currencies, and configure reporting that rolls up across the organization.
  • Configure resource management, utilization reporting, approval workflows, and user access to match how the client actually operates.
  • Configure to best practices within BigTime Finance & Accounting Workstream.
  • Lead the accounting mapping work with the client’s controller or finance lead so that EPSA activity lands in the right accounts.
  • Configure and validate the accounting integration, and confirm that balances in EPSA reconcile to the client’s general ledger.
  • Guide the client through their first close, including billing, revenue recognition, and the handoff to accounting, and confirm the team can repeat the process independently.
  • Set integration expectations before the SOW is signed rather than during testing, including where a client’s accounting system requires a file-based or API approach instead of a prebuilt connector.
  • Own the end-to-end data migration, partnering with engineering when custom scripting or deeper technical work is required.
  • Agree in writing on how much historical data comes across, and time-box it before the work begins.
  • Configure and validate integrations with CRM, HR, and accounting systems, and treat any nonstandard integration as advisory until the technical requirements have been reviewed.
  • Run the implementation as a project: scoped milestones, a documented timeline, named owners on both sides, and a defined path to go-live.
  • Schedule and run working sessions at a cadence that holds momentum, adjusting scope and timeline transparently when the client’s needs change.
  • Record sessions and follow every call with a written recap covering what was covered, what is next, and open items with owners and dates.
  • Identify scope changes as they surface, quantify the hours honestly, and route them through the change order process rather than absorbing them.
  • Track delivered hours against the SOW estimate and raise variance early.
  • Escalate platform issues and enhancement requests that put an implementation at risk, and keep Services leadership informed of the impact.
  • Deliver approved post-implementation engagements, including training, configuration assessments, reporting, and integration advisory.
  • Work closely with Sales, Solutions Consulting, Customer Success, Product, and Support to keep the client’s experience consistent end-to-end.
  • Flag areas of concern before an implementation kicks off by consulting with Sales and Solutions Consulting on anything that may require nonstandard configuration.
  • Feed recurring configuration gaps and integration friction back to Product with specifics.
  • Maintain accurate, current notes in Salesforce for every engagement, including the implementation plan, timeline, and key decisions.
  • Keep engagement status, at-risk flags, and PS opportunity fields current so leadership has visibility into pipeline and delivery health.
  • Produce client-facing deliverables, including scoping documents, statements of work, configuration summaries, and go-live readiness assessments, in alignment with BigTime documentation and brand standards.
