About The Position

To work as part of the Health Service Delivery Team, with responsibility for NEC Software Services (NEC SWS’s) Health screening applications. The role is focused on providing delivery of a range of services including software implementation, project management, consultation and training to the screening market. Including performing regular operations, provide application support for healthcare services, and to input into the development of existing products and services. This role will be working as a Implementation Consultant within the Service Delivery team, where you will: Liaise with customers and third parties to schedule and manage installations and updates of the Healthcare portfolio. Define content for the deployment of interfacing projects. Define and create system data and configuration to allow new installations of products to be deployed to new customers. Make configuration changes to existing customer configurations as required. Provide technical expertise in the support of existing solutions. Undertake quality assurance and testing of applications and deployment routines. Supporting customers during the process of deploying new healthcare services. The role of Implementation Consultant includes the requirement to work outside business hours (evenings and weekends) to deploy new software releases. The role of Implementation Consultant is home-based/ hybrid depending on your location and travel may be required throughout the United Kingdom to liaise with the team or customers as required to suit the needs and demands of the products. Requirements

  • Experience of software installation and support, IT systems and network management.
  • Good technical understanding of operating systems including Windows servers
  • Good technical understanding of SQL Server.
  • Experience of using Office applications including Word, Excel, Visio.
  • Ability to follow and develop operational procedures.
  • Previous customer liaison experience.
  • Background in software and application maintenance, testing and deployment
  • Able to explain concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Able to establish credibility with customers.
  • Can act with limited supervision within own area of responsibility.
  • Have a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Ability to document work in a clear and concise manner.
  • Able to build working relationships with third party suppliers and NHS Organisations.
  • Able to establish good working relationships with onshore and offshore Development and QA Teams.
  • Capable of communicating with technical and non-technical staff to translate customer requirements and issues.
  • Willing to challenge and improve existing processes and practices.
  • Proactive and forward thinking to stop problems occurring.
  • Capability to multi-task and balance customer requirements and internal priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in using Excel and VBA for manipulating data.
  • Technical understanding of Networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with tools - JIRA, SSMS, IIS, VMware, SMTP
  • Ability to translate user requirements into a working solution.
  • Prince 2 certification.

  • Experience of the healthcare market.
