Implant Maintenance Technician

About The Position

This role is responsible for operating machinery to refurbish ion implanter modules, accurately documenting maintenance activities, and troubleshooting issues with vacuum systems, power supplies, and source-related problems. The technician will collaborate with other maintenance personnel on tool-related issues and must follow safety protocols and cleanroom procedures, including the proper handling of hazardous gases, chemicals, and materials.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related technical field or equivalent military/industry experience.
  • 2+ years of experience maintaining semiconductor equipment, ideally ion implantation tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and vacuum systems.
  • Familiarity with implant systems such as Axcelis, Varian, or Applied Materials.
  • Comfortable working with high-voltage, vacuum, RF, and gas delivery systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment wearing full PPE.
  • Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or protected individual).
  • Compliance with all applicable export control regulations.
