About The Position

Recidiviz is hiring an Impact Analytics Data Analyst to measure the effects of its products and interventions on the justice-involved population. The analyst will work with research and impact-tracking leads to assess historical impact, estimate future impact, and inform product strategy and partnerships with funders. The role involves building statistical models, communicating findings to stakeholders, creating reusable analytical processes, contributing to aggregated metrics infrastructure, and advising other analysts on experiment design and measurement. Recidiviz builds technology intended to reduce incarceration and help criminal justice leaders make data-driven decisions. The organization works with government leaders and staff, people in prison and on supervision, and ecosystem partners. It values kindness, humility, learning from failure, attentive listening, and building relationships and empathy across the communities it serves. The position is full-time, with work locations available remotely in the United States or at offices in New York City or Oakland, California. The annual compensation is $97,000. The role offers flexibility to work remotely or from either office. Success in the first year includes developing a model estimating Recidiviz’s impact on the justice-involved population over the following several years. This model and other impact evaluations should help deepen funder partnerships and inform product strategy.
