About The Position

As Immunology Specialist VIE within our Public Affairs team, you will support the development and execution of global public affairs plans designed to deliver on the strategic objectives of the Immunology Franchise, with a particular focus on pipeline assets across dermatology, respiratory, and GI conditions. Join the team transforming care for people with immune challenges, rare diseases, cancers, and neurological conditions. In Specialty Care, you’ll help deliver breakthrough treatments that bring hope to patients with some of the highest unmet needs.

Requirements

  • Fluent English (written and verbal).
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 10% of the time).

Nice To Haves

  • A first professional experience (internship or junior role) in Public Affairs, Market Access, Health Policy, Government Affairs, or a related field is a strong plus.
  • Exposure to policy and advocacy strategies, ideally in a healthcare, industry, or non-governmental organization (NGO) context, is appreciated.
  • Prior experience or strong interest in working on early-stage assets and engaging cross-functionally with Research & Development (R&D) or business development functions is a plus.
  • Strategic mindset with an understanding of the role of Public Affairs (PA) in driving business success.
  • Ability to translate strategy into action: supporting the development of high-impact PA strategies and deploying PA tools and tactics to meet business objectives.
  • Strong collaboration skills; comfortable working cross-functionally and within a matrixed, international organization.
  • Interest in the product development lifecycle, competitor intelligence, and early market-shaping needs.
  • Ability to build and cultivate relationships with patient organizations and strategic partners.
  • Awareness of key stakeholder groups, including multilateral institutions, trade associations, and patient organizations.
  • Knowledge of or strong interest in the healthcare industry and the critical trends shaping the operating landscape.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous settings and fast-paced environments.
  • Master's degree preferred (in Public Affairs, Political Science, Health Policy, Life Sciences, or a related field).

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of a robust Global Public Affairs strategy to achieve the vision for the Immunology Franchise — reinforcing Sanofi's commitment to the dermatology, respiratory, and GI communities, supporting high-priority business objectives, and preparing the ecosystem for significant launches and/or uptake of new therapies.
  • Help strengthen relationships with patient groups and key stakeholders to ensure that the "voice of the patient" is central in shaping business strategy and development opportunities.
  • Support the cultivation of strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and patient organizations to bring needed solutions to patients, in line with the priorities of key pipeline assets.
  • Collaborate with key cross-functional partners — including clinical development, new product planning, market access, medical, regulatory, and commercial teams — to ensure external community input is considered and incorporated into programs currently in development.
  • Monitor and analyze potential threats and opportunities arising from external developments; communicate findings effectively to Therapeutic Area leadership.
  • Support the development and execution of external engagement strategies for senior leadership to establish and reinforce Sanofi's commitment to immunology.
  • Pull through global strategic initiatives to support Sanofi's immunology leadership and reputation building.
