About The Position

The Immigration Attorney at the Law Office of Abhisha Parikh advocates for clients and guides them through complex immigration processes. The attorney manages cases from start to finish, represents clients in immigration court, and conducts consultations and interview preparation. The role also includes mentoring support staff and ensuring high-quality, timely, organized, compliant, and confidential legal work. The position is based at the firm's Edison, New Jersey headquarters, with fully remote or hybrid work options available.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD).
Active bar license in at least one U.S. state.
At least 3 years of immigration law experience.
Experience with removal defense and immigration court proceedings.
Strong legal writing and courtroom advocacy skills.
Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to independently manage multiple cases.
Leadership mindset and a team-oriented approach.

Nice To Haves

Background in family-based immigration.
Background in employment-based immigration.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in EOIR court at Master and Merits Hearings.
Conduct client consultations and prepare clients for interviews.
Draft motions, briefs, and other legal filings.
Communicate with government agencies and stakeholders.
Supervise and mentor paralegals and legal assistants.
Oversee case preparation and ensure timely filings.
Maintain organized, compliant, and confidential case records.
