About The Position

The Intermediate Care Unit (IMC), also known as the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), at The George Washington University Hospital bridges the gap between ICU and general medical-surgical care. The IMC/PCU provides specialized monitoring and treatment for patients who require higher acuity care, including continuous cardiac monitoring, complex medication management, and frequent assessments.
