About The Position

The purpose of establishing leads within the KVH organization is intended to work alongside peers & co-workers and assisting the manager/director. The Lead is expected to role model KVH values & Code of Excellence to promote a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Currently employed at KVH for at least 3 months
• Employee in “good-standing” with no performance concerns

Responsibilities

• Responsible for generating the x-ray staff schedule working with other modality leads and/or Director to resolve staffing concerns.
• Coordinate with other Imaging Department employees regarding schedules and to ensure proper workflow and quality of care is met based on the staffing and patient volumes.
• Address and triage internal and external issues associated with X-ray modality when it applies to patient care and workflow.
• Provide order/exam clarification and education regarding appropriate exam criteria based on protocols.
• Order supplies for location, maintaining appropriate levels of supplies and equipment.
• Work with IT when needed to resolved technical issues on equipment used within modality.
• Work with HIM to manage the Radiology Spreadsheet
• Responsible for the training of other ARRT Technologists in the principals of imaging and radiation monitoring software
• Serves as a communication liaison to ensure staff and management received relevant information and updates
• Responsible for Imaging protocols according to ACR guidelines and practice parameters in collaboration with Radiologist group
• Assists with billing corrections and the development and testing of new order sets
• Assists with coordination of intervention radiology procedures
• May assist Manager/Director with scheduling and daily work flows
• Assist Manager/Director with updating standard work, policies, and competencies
• Assist with training and orientation of new staff members
• May provide coverage & back-up support to CT department, at needed
• Provide just-in-time feedback to staff for coaching and support
• Assist Manager/Director with conflict resolution between staff members
• Role model the KVH Values and Code of Excellence to provide a positive work environment
• Assist Manager/Director with identifying team goals and desired outcomes
• Assist Manager/Director with other projects as assigned
