The Imaging Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and organizing patient flow throughout the department, prioritizing procedures, and shifting workloads as needed. This role involves supervising sophisticated procedures to ensure patient throughput and departmental efficiencies. The supervisor will obtain necessary medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials for administration by licensed practitioners. They will also be responsible for teaching new procedures, keeping technical staff informed of changes, and performing evaluations on technical and support staff. Additionally, the supervisor will provide documentation and reports on equipment/supply needs, physician requests, complaints, and routine operational issues, ensuring timely resolution of physician or patient complaints. A high level of technical proficiency and knowledge in system management, advanced applications, and current applications of modalities is required. The supervisor will troubleshoot equipment or procedure problems with appropriate follow-up and regulate equipment quality control tests, making necessary adjustments for service.
