About The Position

As an Imaging Student Extern at HCA Florida West Hospital, you will gain hands-on experience while learning from experienced team members. You will contribute to patient care by helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their imaging experience. This PRN role supports patients, technologists, and the care team while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient imaging environment.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Must be a current Radiologic Technology student.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for imaging by obtaining histories, verifying identities, and assisting with positioning while communicating clearly and compassionately.
• Safely transport patients between areas and support their comfort and emotional needs during procedures.
• Set up imaging rooms, manage room turnover, and organize supplies to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment.
• Communicate patient needs and concerns promptly to technologists and the care team.
• Participate in learning opportunities and follow safety and confidentiality standards.
