About The Position

Provides high-quality patient care and imaging services for diagnosis or treatment. Performs imaging procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care, recognizes patient conditions essential to successful procedure completion, and treats patients with compassion and respect. Provides practical instruction to students.

Requirements

• Licensed by ARRT or NMTCB.
• Current ODH license.
• BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Prior nuclear medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and study appropriateness, and provide patient education.
• Safely handle and store radiopharmaceuticals.
• Use appropriate techniques, radiopharmaceuticals, imaging medications, and adjunctive medications as part of standard protocols to ensure quality diagnostic images.
• Administer radioactive materials in various forms and monitor patients throughout procedures.
• Follow instrumentation and quality-control procedures.
• Follow radiation-protection and safety guidelines.
• Use the Radiology Information System.
• Review and revise policies, procedures, protocols, and patient preparations.
• Assist the supervisor with data collection and regulatory compliance.
• Provide practical instruction to students.
