About The Position
Join UPMC as a casual Imaging Services Student Tech with Children’s Hospital. This position is designed for Imaging students to expand their skills and ready them for the workforce. Incorporate your education directly with hands-on pediatric training with our Diagnostic Radiology team. Get paid to train and work with a great team of highly skilled Technologists.
Requirements
- Must be an active 2nd year student in ARRT, ARDMS, CNMT, or NMCTB approved school.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewals
Responsibilities
- Assist Radiologists and Technologists with exams.
- Greet patients, track exams, scan scripts, and schedule exams.
- Utilize imaging equipment under the supervision of a Radiologist or Technologist.
- Assist Radiologists and Technologists setting up contrast, however, will never be responsible for loading or priming the injector.
- Learn and follow radiation safety standards and protocols.
