About The Position

This is a PRN Imaging Services Assistant opportunity at IU Health University Hospital. In this role, you will support imaging technologists and the overall patient care workflow by assisting with patient transport, preparation, and procedural support. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and being part of a collaborative imaging team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 0-3 years of experience.
• May require Basic Life Support certification.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Terminology, preferred.
• Experience in a hospital or medical environment, preferred.
• Customer service experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works under the supervision of a radiologist, technologist, or radiology nurse.
• Performs clerical and/or patient care duties necessary to assist in performing imaging exams.
• Clerical duties may include, but are not limited to patient scheduling & registration, patient screening, reception, release of information, and maintaining inventory.
• Patient care duties may include, but are not limited to transporting and transferring patients, preparing patients for procedures, discussing exams and preps with patients, starting IV access lines, and assisting with minimally invasive procedures as approved by regional leadership and with documentation of training and competency.
• All other duties as assigned.
