Imaging Services Assistant - PRN
About The Position
This position is PRN and is needed for additional support in the CT department at Bloomington Hospital on the weekends. The Imaging Services Assistant works under the supervision of a radiologist, technologist, or radiology nurse. They perform clerical and/or patient care duties necessary to assist in performing imaging exams. Clerical duties may include patient scheduling & registration, patient screening, reception, release of information, and maintaining inventory. Patient care duties may include transporting and transferring patients, preparing patients for procedures, discussing exams and preps with patients, starting IV access lines, and assisting with minimally invasive procedures as approved by regional leadership and with documentation of training and competency. All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 0-3 years of experience
Nice To Haves
- Medical Terminology
- Experience in a hospital or medical environment
- Customer service experience
- May require Basic Life Support certification
