About The Position

Sodexo's Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Division is looking for a highly skilled and confident individual to fulfill an Imaging Service Engineer I role with Altru Health System located in Grand Fork, ND. Altru Health System is a community of more than 3,100 health professionals and support staff, dedicated to caring for our region for over 130 years. We serve approximately 230,000 residents in northeast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota, offering a wide range of services to meet the health needs of community members of all ages. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s license record check is required.

Requirements

  • Either 1+ years of imaging experience (preferably radio frequency, X-ray portables, C-Arms, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, etc.) or a senior biomedical equipment technician with over 3 years of experience willing to receive training in the imaging space.
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting required.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices and the ability to complete preventative & corrective maintenance on medical devices.
  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronics, biomedical engineering, or other technical discipline contributing to proficiency of maintenance and repair of imaging equipment within a healthcare environment
  • 3 years of experience within a healthcare setting with direct responsibility for the maintenance and repair of clinical devices and/or 1 year of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment and/or entry level of formalized training and/or equivalent military training

Nice To Haves

  • Specific experience with the following medical devices or equipment: Siemens or GE Ultrasound, X-Ray portables, C-Arms and general X-Ray experience is preferred, but not required and will train.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all medical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner.
  • Repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical imaging devices; in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and other healthcare professionals to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.
  • Document service activities and maintain accurate records within the department's tracking systems.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide emergency technical support when needed.
