About The Position

Sodexo's Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Division is seeking an Imaging Service Engineer I to join the team at Altru Health System in Grand Fork, ND. Altru Health System is a large healthcare provider serving approximately 230,000 residents with a wide range of services. The Imaging Service Engineer will be responsible for ensuring medical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner, including repairing, maintaining, and calibrating medical imaging devices in a hospital or healthcare setting. This role requires the ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices, collaborate with clinical staff, document service activities, and participate in an on-call rotation for emergency technical support.

Requirements

  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting required.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices.
  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronics, biomedical engineering, or other technical discipline contributing to proficiency of maintenance and repair of imaging equipment within a healthcare environment.
  • 3 years of experience within a healthcare setting with direct responsibility for the maintenance and repair of clinical devices and/or 1 year of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment and/or entry level of formalized training and/or equivalent military training.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of imaging experience (preferably radio frequency, X-ray portables, C-Arms, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, etc.) or a senior biomedical equipment technician with over 3 years of experience willing to receive training in the imaging space.
  • Specific experience with the following medical devices or equipment: Siemens or GE Ultrasound, X-Ray portables, C-Arms and general X-Ray experience is preferred, but not required and will train.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all medical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner.
  • Repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical imaging devices; in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and other healthcare professionals to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.
  • Document service activities and maintain accurate records within the department's tracking systems.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide emergency technical support when needed.
  • Complete preventative & corrective maintenance on medical devices.
