Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 2 years experience required in a fast paced and complex environment where critical thinking skills are necessary
  • Windows based PC experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of college or comparable level of education and experience preferred
  • Previous experience in a medical environment is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of scheduling Imaging patients and supporting our CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Vascular, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, X-Ray and Fluoroscopy clinics.
  • Work closely with physicians, techs and NPs.
  • Obtain clinical information and screen for exam appropriateness.
  • Use critical thinking skills, make judgment calls and involve the radiologist, nurse or technologist when necessary.
  • Interact with office staff and patients, in a courteous and professional manner, with a focus on keeping waits and delays at a minimum.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments; coordinate anesthesia; verify orders; provide preparation information; obtain lab results, history and physicals, and written orders.
