Requirements

Associate’s Degree Required
3 years of healthcare experience, preferably in imaging or information systems department(s) Required

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
IT and/or technical expertise in PACS system(s) Preferred
Experience in imaging software and report writing and extensive training with medical IS applications Preferred

Responsibilities

Provides frontline support for radiologists, technologists, and imaging operations.
Facilitates timely resolution of imaging related issues.
Rounds regularly at assigned hospitals.
Serves as the first point of contact for imaging technology support (e.g. PACS, Epic, Powerscribe), including remote and after-hours support by phone.
May include remotely accessing devices to identify and resolve issues.
Requires a thorough understanding of the workflow processes and relationships between ancillary systems and RIS/PACS.
Includes the assurance of proper staff training, daily data and system maintenance, troubleshooting and disaster planning.
