This is a full-time field position based in the Greater Charlotte and potentially Winston-Salem Markets. The role prioritizes skilled imaging service technicians with over five years of experience in servicing and maintaining Diagnostic Ultrasound equipment, particularly Cardiac and/or Diagnostic Ultrasound. Additional general imaging/x-ray service experience is a plus. The technician will analyze, troubleshoot, and repair highly complex diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment and systems, and install, calibrate, and test new equipment. Responsibilities may include work on a mix of Biomedical and Diagnostic Imaging equipment, with a majority focused on complex Diagnostic Imaging equipment. The role involves performing general service according to various standards and regulations, interacting with clinical staff to ensure needs are met, and providing technical support. The technician will also act as a technical resource for other technicians, assist in training, and maintain accurate records of all inspections and repairs. Installation of new imaging equipment, coordination with radiation physicists for quality assurance, and potential assistance in equipment selection, service contract negotiations, and capital equipment replacement recommendations are also part of the role. The technician will also request/order necessary parts, escalate issues, and assist in developing policies and procedures and evaluating new equipment.
