About The Position

Contributes to the Hospital’s mission to care, heal, and excel in service to the community by independently performing radiographic examinations in accordance with department protocols and ACR imaging standards. Maintains safety standards while using diagnostic equipment, PACS, and related medical imaging equipment. This professional technologist position impacts quality, safety, and the patient experience.

The position is located at the Family Medical Center in Wilmington, Massachusetts, and is per diem.

Requirements

• Complete an accredited Radiology Technology Program.
• Be registry eligible for ARRT and obtain ARRT certification within 12 months of hire.
• Be vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in Radiology Technology.
• At least one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform examinations using ALARA standards (As Low as Reasonably Acceptable).
• Complete diagnostic imaging examinations according to established protocols set by Radiologists.
• Enter examinations correctly and ensure accurate, informative documentation and appropriate charges.
• Electronically send and store images and data in PACS appropriately.
• Maintain department records and logs to monitor quality and safety in accordance with departmental policies.
