About The Position
The Imaging Assistant, PRN, will perform a variety of duties under the direction of a registered technologist. They will be able to perform some exams after competencies have been completed with the School of Radiologic Technology and will handle patients of all ages (neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completed first semester at Conemaugh School of Radiologic Technology.
- BLS/CPR.
Responsibilities
- Assist the technologist during radiographic procedures.
- Purges x-ray folders from the Radiology file room.
- Provides radiation protection for patients.
- Develops film when necessary.
- Positions patients and selects optimal technique for exams that they have passed competency on.
- Participates in peer competencies.
