About The Position
As an Imaging Assistant, PRN joining our team, you’re embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier ® . We perform a variety of duties under the direction of a registered technologist. Able to perform some exams after competencies have been completed with the School of Radiologic Technology. Handles patients of all ages (neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completed first semester at Conemaugh School of Radiologic Technology.
- BLS/CPR.
Responsibilities
- Assist the technologist during radiographic procedures.
- Purges x-ray folders from the Radiology file room.
- Provides radiation protection for patients.
- Develops film when necessary.
- Positions patients and selects optimal technique for exams that they have passed competency on.
- Participates in peer competencies.
