Imaging Assistant II-MRI
About The Position

We are searching for a talented Imaging Assistant II-MRI to work the evening shift with weekend and holiday rotation, Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA. Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent plus additional specialized courses or training preferred.
- Duties require computer skills, including knowledge of both hospital departmental computer systems.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Knowledge of office equipment and basic knowledge of patient care equipment is required.
- CPR certification required within 6 months.
- One year of related work experience in a similar position is preferred.
- Current CPR certifications are required within 3 months.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care including patient transport, obtaining medical histories, preparing patients for exams, assisting patients on and off the imaging table, performing MRI screenings, and researching various implantable devices.
- Assist with patient exams and explain any delays in procedures.
- Process requisitions/paperwork, review schedules and assist with retrieval of outside images.
- Control inventory and maintain adequate levels of supplies.
- Assist with special projects as assigned such as Quality Assurance, Education, etc.
