About The Position

Involves the design and management of software, hardware, and databases for clinical imaging system(s) used in clinical practice and/or research. Supports a secured network for the transmission of patient information, workstations for interpreting and reviewing images, and archives for the storage and retrieval of images and reports. Provides technical training and assistance to users. Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the processes by which to attain them. Provides direction, sets priorities, and analyzes workflow for clinical applications subordinate staff, according to established policies and management guidance. Provides senior management with input on personnel matters and recommendations for changes to department policies and practices. Provides advanced technical expertise in 3D post-processing while supporting the evaluation, validation, and clinical integration of emerging AI technologies. This role bridges clinical operations, imaging science, and translational research to enhance workflow efficiency, imaging quality, and innovation within the department. The position requires regular communication and collaboration with clinicians to clarify imaging needs, discuss case requirements, gather feedback on AI-enabled tools, and ensure that 3D outputs and new technologies align with clinical expectations and patient-care priorities.

Requirements

Advanced technical expertise in 3D post-processing.
Experience supporting the evaluation, validation, and clinical integration of emerging AI technologies.
Ability to communicate and collaborate with clinicians to clarify imaging needs, discuss case requirements, and gather feedback on AI-enabled tools.
Ability to ensure 3D outputs and new technologies align with clinical expectations and patient-care priorities.
Solid subject matter knowledge in clinical imaging systems.
Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and policies.
Ability to provide direction, set priorities, and analyze workflow.
Ability to provide input on personnel matters and recommendations for changes to department policies and practices.

Responsibilities

Design and management of software, hardware, and databases for clinical imaging system(s).
Support a secured network for the transmission of patient information.
Support workstations for interpreting and reviewing images.
Support archives for the storage and retrieval of images and reports.
Provide technical training and assistance to users.
Provide direct supervision typically to professionals or skilled technical employees.
Function as advisor to unit and administration.
Analyze and resolve problems.
Interpret policies (e.g., fiscal management, HR, contracts and grants, resource management in defined areas).
Demonstrate solid subject matter knowledge.
Exercise judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action.
Supervise staff to assure accountability and stewardship of department resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental goals and objectives.
