About The Position

Involves the design and management of software, hardware and databases for a clinical imaging system(s), used in clinical practice and / or research. Supports a secured network for the transmission of patient information, workstations for interpreting and reviewing images, and archives for the storage and retrieval of images and reports. Provides technical training and assistance to users. Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the processes by which to attain them. Provides direction, sets priorities, and analyzes workflow for clinical applications subordinate staff, according to established policies and management guidance. Provides senior management with input on personnel matters and recommendations for changes to department policies and practices.

Responsibilities

Design and management of software, hardware and databases for clinical imaging systems.
Support of a secured network for the transmission of patient information.
Support of workstations for interpreting and reviewing images.
Support of archives for the storage and retrieval of images and reports.
Provide technical training and assistance to users.
Provide direct supervision typically to professionals or skilled technical employees.
Analyze and resolve problems.
Interpret policies (e.g., fiscal management, HR, contracts and grants, resource management in defined areas).
Supervise staff to assure accountability and stewardship of department resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental goals and objectives.
Provide direction, set priorities, and analyze workflow for clinical applications subordinate staff.
Provide senior management with input on personnel matters and recommendations for changes to department policies and practices.
