Requirements

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of prior work experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of prior work experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
2+ years of Image science or related work experience
Experience with Department of Defense (DoW) Electro-Optical (EO) sensors.
Experience with a prototyping language (e.g., MATLAB, ENVI/IDL (Interactive Data Language), etc.).
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Active and transferrable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required after day 1.

Nice To Haves

Degree in Image Science, Systems Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related major.
Experience with image processing chains.
Experience with geo-accuracy.
Experience with Earth remote sensing from satellite or airborne platforms.

Responsibilities

Ability to work Part-time, 16 hours a week on a schedule that meets program/project & management needs
Develop and maintain EO/IR (Electro-Optical/Infrared) remote sensing systems.
Responsible for supporting the full product development lifecycle.
Develop new functionality and optimize current imaging capabilities.
Drive project direction and completion, within budget and on schedule.
Develop algorithms in MATLAB or ENVI/IDL.
