About The Position

The Image Processing Engineer Intern will provide image-processing and algorithm support for Linux and/or Windows applications, primarily military mission systems or image-processing desktop applications. The role calls for a strong work ethic, technical competence, pride in ownership, a desire to learn, good interpersonal and critical-thinking skills, adaptability, and high ethical standards. The intern may perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field; Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence is preferred.
• Experience or knowledge with Python, MATLAB, C, and/or C++.
• Understanding of spatial and temporal filtering, interpolation, Fourier analysis, image decomposition, and parameter/state estimation.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design.
• Familiarity with the software lifecycle process.
• Strong work ethic, technical competence, and pride in ownership.
• Desire to learn, good interpersonal skills, and sound decision-making and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to adapt to change and maintain high ethical standards.

Nice To Haves

• Containerization experience, such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• GPU/CUDA development experience.
• Artificial intelligence and machine learning experience.
• C, C++, and/or CUDA experience.
• Linux and Windows operating system experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide image-processing and algorithm support for Linux and/or Windows applications.
• Apply image- and signal-processing concepts to develop detection and tracking capability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
