About The Position

The Image Processing Engineer Intern provides image-processing and algorithm support for Linux and/or Windows applications, primarily military mission systems or image-processing desktop applications. The role applies image and signal processing concepts to develop detection and tracking capabilities. The successful candidate is hard-working and technically competent, takes pride in ownership, and demonstrates a good work ethic, a strong desire to learn, interpersonal skills, and decision-making and critical-thinking abilities. The candidate should be dynamic and adaptable to change and set high ethical standards for themselves and others. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence is preferred.
• Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, C, and/or C++.
• Understanding of spatial and temporal filtering, interpolation, Fourier analysis, image decomposition, and parameter/state estimation.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design.
• Familiarity with the software lifecycle process.
• Strong work ethic, technical competence, pride in ownership, and desire to learn.
• Good interpersonal, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to adapt to change and maintain high ethical standards.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• GPU/CUDA development experience.
• Artificial intelligence and machine learning experience.
• Experience with C, C++, and/or CUDA.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
