About The Position

The Image Processing Assistant will receive patients and their families, directing them to the appropriate areas. They will process all radiology imaging requests and answer phones. As needed, they will act as a backup to the Radiology Scheduling Staff, scheduling routine appointments and accurately explaining necessary preparations. Patient transport is also a responsibility.

Requirements

HS Diploma or equivalent preferred
Solid administrative skills to compose short correspondence and memos
Superior communication skills to interact with our patients as well as internal and external customers
Must be computer literate, possess the ability to adapt to new systems and master them upon training
Intermediate technical skills necessary as well as the ability to communicate technical information to individuals or in a small group setting
Problem solving and analytical skills required
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
